Loudoun County Public Schools put together a championship team at the first-ever Loudoun Olympics Wednesday, May 3. School employees competed against teams from the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce, the Department of Economic Development, and Visit Loudoun for the Evergreen Cup—and yearlong bragging rights—at Evergreen Sportsplex. The teams went up against each other in a range of events, from an adventure course to cornhole. Team Graduation Day placed first, followed by Team Walking DED, from the Department of Economic Development in second; Team TOTs Titans of Tourism from Visit Loudoun in third; and Team Bad to the Bone from the Chamber. Team Walking DED won the spirit award for having the best uniform, cheering and heckling section, and entrance song. Evergreen Sportsplex is at 19623 Evergreen Mills Road in Leesburg.
