Robbery Suspect Tased at Claude Moore Pool

A 26-year-old Sterling man faces multiple charges following a Saturday afternoon altercation at the Claude Moore Park Recreation Center.

According to the report, deputies were called to the pool area at 5:20 p.m. June 25 for a report of a fight.

They found an intoxicated male attempting to assault another individual. The man failed to comply with the deputies’ commands to stop, pulled off his belt and “held it in an aggressive manner, and approached two deputies.”

One of the deputies deployed a Taser.

Two victims who had previously left the scene reported that the man approached them while they were walking and demanded their wallets, phone, and glasses.

Edwin G. Amaya Ramos was charged with two counts of attempted robbery, three counts of assault on law enforcement, obstructing justice, disorderly conduct, and public intoxication. He was held without bond at the Adult Detention Center.

Violent criminals have nothing to fear in Loudoun.
LEOs can arrest every single one of them. But Buta Biberaj a/k/a “A Criminal’s Best Friend” makes sure they face little to no punishment.

Victims deserve better. We deserve better.

Buta will say he’s a “young 26” and demand the victims apologize to him, after she cuts him loose.

This sounds like a very unfortunate incident. Apparently, the officer had little or no choice but to tase the gentleman. Substance abuse is rampant in society. I hope the gentleman gets the treatment he needs to rebuild his life. Meanwhile, it’s probably best he’s being detained away from the general public.
