The Leesburg Daybreak Rotary Club last week presented a $4,500 check this week to Boulder Crest Retreat for military and veteran wellness.
Club President Susan Jane Stack and member Philip Martin made the presentation to Dusty Baxley, executive director of Boulder Crest’s Virginia operation.
Boulder Crest, in Bluemont, is a pioneering nonprofit organization focused on the development of growth-based training programs to help veterans dealing with posttraumatic stress, anxiety, depression and suicidality.
“Rotary is pleased to continue our support of the important work of Boulder Crest in helping our veterans and their families,” Stack said.
“Leesburg Daybreak Rotary Club has been a very staunch group of service-oriented volunteers from everything to general cleanup to coming out and cooking beautiful meals for our combat veterans and their families. Thank you for your support and service to our community and this great nation,” Baxley said.
