Loudoun’s Draft General Plan Posted Online

After nearly two years of work by a Board of Supervisors-appointed committee of industry and community leaders, teams of consultants and scores of county planners the first draft of Loudoun County’s 2040 General Plan has been published.

Together with the proposed update to the Countywide Transportation Plan, the document includes 377 pages that can be read—or downloaded—at envision-loudoun.org.

The document was released one week ahead of the third final round of community input sessions that will be held at locations around the county. The first will be Monday, May 14 at Harmony Middle School near Hamilton, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

After the final input session, May 24, the Envision Loudoun Stakeholders Committee will hold one meeting to review the comments before planning the plan along to the Planning Commission for review and a formal public hearing.
