Student Jailed After Alleged Threats Against Leesburg School

A student is in custody after allegedly making threats against the Douglass School in Leesburg.

According to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office, the juvenile posted threatening comments on social media sites on Oct. 24 and Dec. 7.

He was arrested Dec. 15 and has been charged with two counts of electronically threatening to harm a school. The Class 6 felony carries a sentence of up to a year in jail.

The student is being held at the Loudoun County Juvenile Detention Center.
