The county’s convention and tourism agency is in need of individuals to serve three-year terms on its board of directors. The term of office will commence July 1, with a transition period starting in May.
The new board will be elected by Visit Loudoun’s dues-paying members at its annual meeting and tourism awards luncheon in May.
The nonprofit is the destination management organization for Loudoun and its incorporated towns, promoting Loudoun as a tourism destination and working to increase visitation and visitor spending.
The diverse board is comprised of up to 24 members serving staggered terms. Members may apply to serve a second term.
Those interested in serving on the Visit Loudoun board should submit their résumés outlining their business/professional career, including any tourism-related experience, as well as special skills such as communications or community involvement, etc.
Three business references are required along with a statement (no longer than one doubled-spaced typed page) as to why the individual’s service on the Visit Loudoun Board would help Visit Loudoun and the cause of tourism in Loudoun County.
